I would like to believe that you would be able to your crazy not being apart of it, but idk physically because I just don’t know about that. Best you could do is ask. :c

One of my friends recently got told being trans was a symptom of BPD and diagnosed him with it because of that (as opposed to his current peer diagnosis of ADHD)

So YEAH KIND OF WORRIED

Yeah I’ve heard of that. They interpret the unstable identity criterion of BPD to mean any apparent change from a mainstream identity – I’ve seen it used against everyone from goths to lesbians to trans people (usually but not always DFAB, because the therapist assumes BPD is a female disorder and that all DFAB trans people are just confused women). Also frequently used against teenagers because their identity is SUPPOSED to be in flux (facepalm), which is why technically you’re not supposed to diagnose young people with it. I am really glad I didn’t know I was genderless when I was in the psych system, I got enough grief for thinking I was bi. Actually as a fairly classic Enneagram 4 (yeah I know it’s not scientific but not is psychiatry) I’m shocked the only person who ever said I was BPD was an insurance company doctor who never met me. (To give you an idea what kind of guy he was, he had his own radio show where he trotted out his patients like a trained dog act.)
