But seriously, someone proposed Yeerk infestation as a possible diet/fitness solution! I think that may indicate that some people aren’t quite grasping the gravity of the concept.

People are using feeding tubes as a dieting solution, I would believe anything. Hell, there’s some bariatric surgery these days that deliberately creates malabsorption by cutting out huge portions of your intestines,and that’s considered medically advisable somehow. I don’t think Yeerks would have any trouble taking over if they marketed themselves as a weight loss solution.
