I can take the bandages off in a day. I have my port, everything went smoothly, everyone told me that this is a new high tech port or something that has very low infection risk and all kinds of cool features that make it really good in ways I’m not aware of because I’ve never had a port before. The doctors and nurses seemed as excited about it as I was. And we kind of celebrated what may be my last IV ever, because now we can use the port instead. And from what I can tell unless it gets infected it can stay in there indefinitely, or at least a very long time.
