disability self-advocacy is not about telling disabled people they can be successful in spite of their disabilities; it’s about reassuring them that they’re valuable and worthy regardless of and in fact because of their disabilities, whether or not they meet capitalist standards of “success”.

and it is vital for disabled people everywhere.
