My mom is doing everything she can to keep my dad out of the hospice place.

She’s worked out some strategies with the hospice nurse to handle situations that come up.

I love how dedicated my family is to helping people live at home at the end of our lives when that’s what we want. It’s a trait too few people have in this day and age. My mom said basically under no circumstances is he going to end up in that hospice place. They get services from hospice but those are services they get in their home.

They still need our thoughts and prayers though. The job my mom is doing, in the condition her body is in, is phenomenal and dangerous, but she’s doing it because she loves him that much. They’ve been together since she was 15. She’s now… 68ish? Think about that. That’s a long time to be in love with someone, and a lot of dedication through the good times and the bad. And they have weathered it all, and I mean all.
