The other rock friends my parents sent me. All granite.
I showed them to a staff person and she was like “Where can you just pick up huge chunks of granite like that?”
And I was thinking they’re not THAT big, and my sense of scale has yet again been ruined by California.
Those are the kind in the poem?
Not sure which poem, but there are entire mountainsides made out of this stuff where our entire family could stretch out and lie down and eat and stuff,s and there would be room for at least twenty more families, if not more. So chunks this size are nothing. It was like there were entire mountains made of this stuff, or at least large portions of the mountains.
