Don’t condescend to me.

No really.

Don’t explain to me what inanimate means.

Don’t tell me objects don’t interact with people.

Don’t explain animism and anthropomorphism.

Don’t explain things carefully in baby talk as if I’ve never heard these ideas before and need them broken to me gently.

Objects are alive, but not anthropomorphic. And animism sounds too much like white anthropologists making themselves feel superior to peoples who “just haven’t evolved into having true religion yet” — much like the same anthropologists describe (and screw up) “ancestor worship”.

You don’t have to believe that I talk to rocks and get responses a lot of the time. Just don’t condescend to me about it. That goes whether you’re autistic yourself or not.
