[View out my bedroom window, with a fuzzy blue-green filter and a frame in red and yellow flowers and circles. Text in yellow handwriting font contains two quotes from the Pink Floyd song “Echoes”. First quote is, “Strangers passing in the street, by chance two separate glances meet, and I am you and what I see is me.” Second quote: “And through the window in the wall come streaming in on sunlight wings a million bright ambassadors of morning. And no one sings me lullabies, and no one makes me close my eyes, so I throw the windows wide, and call to you across the sky.”]
I always knew this song was going to somehow describe my connecting with another person. Unfortunately as a teen this meant reciting the lyrics to a lot if bewildered people, at best.
feliscorvus, you know what I mean by calling to you across the sky. And towards the end of his life, my dad learned the same thing. So that makes two, twice as many as I ever expected in a lifetime.
