I just want to be able to ask the internet “Is [insert symptom here] plausibly caused by antibiotics?” without the majority of answers being “Of course! Antibiotics are evil and should never be used for anything!”
Oh FFS.
That reminds me of a website I read where someone actually listed the symptoms of PKU as symptoms that could be caused by a particular drug, with no comprehension at all that you have to have PKU in the first place for any of those oh-so-scary symptoms to occur.
And yeah. With bronchiectasis, I need antibiotics to survive, and I get sick of people warning me of the pitfalls as if I of all people wouldn’t be aware of superbugs, it’s not like I don’t discuss them with my doctor every time I go on antibiotics.
