I know I don’t post often, but this is kind of an emergency.

I put off making this post cause I was hoping things would look up, but that didn’t happen. This is Uno. He’s my first cat ever and I love him sorely. We rescued him from a rainstorm his two siblings didn’t survive. As the runt of the litter things didn’t look too hot for him, since he’d had a small respiratory infection that was mis-medicated leaving him blind, but he’ll pulled through. We went to several vets to get him fixed because the first few thought his eyes would explode if he was under the anesthesia. They were wrong and he recently hit 9 years old.

In the Winter months, Uno leaves his room and cuddles against the radiator. Usually we don’t mind since he’s happy there but this year has been different. The heat has irritated his eyes harshly this year. We knew something was wrong when he started hissing at us as we walked by. He only hisses when his claws get caught on something so we knew something was up. After a quick visit to the vet we found out that that damage was done. All that heat has caused a build up of gross stuff that can’t escape his eyes and they now either have to be drained of the excess fluids or removed all together. The third option is an absolute worst case scenario so I’ll leave that to the imagination.

Mom and I now have to make a very difficult decision: Our cat or our rent.

I’m asking for help here and I’m offering every service I can in exchange.
