Two Belly Buttons!
Seriously when I first got my feeding tube(1) I’d heard horror stories of people fainting when they first saw an extra hole in their body. So I was scared shitless of actually looking at the site.
When I did look, I was just like “WTF, it’s just like another belly button, higher up, with a tube sticking out of it, what’s the big deal?”
I still think it looks like I have two belly buttons.
Also if you’re uninformed enough to think fat people don’t need feeding tubes, please don’t clutter my askbox with your ignorance. I understand that people are not taught about this, so I don’t hold it against you, but it is exhausting to keep answering questions about my weight, especially given that at least half of the people asking aren’t asking in good faith. So if you really want to know about fat people and feeding tubes, read my blog post conveniently titled:

(1) GJ tube, gastrojejunostomy, so it goes in through the stomach but splits in two and has a g-tube going to the stomach and a j-tube going to the intestine… j-tube for food/meds/water, g-tube to drain my stomach and prevent aspiration… very successful.
