I think Fey has been waiting her whole life to be an old lady cat.

Because now she can be a grumpy old lady and everyone blames her age.  But she’s always been like this.  It backfires a little though because to people unused to cats she looks about half her age at most.  (People more used to cats can see the loss of subcutaneous fat and other indicators of age, as well as the wisdom and other stuff that sometimes accunulates with age.)

People always tell me she doesn’t look 15.  But she tells me she’s 15 all the time.  She tells me it means that she’s older than me and therefore she should get what she wants as close to 100% of the time as possible.  Which is, of course, not always possible.

Meanwhile she’s been so kittenish ever since the move.  She finds things to bat around the house and plays more than she ever played in our old place.  I think we’re both happier here.
