Anne was right to warn me to be cautious.

I aspirated tonight.

I’m about to go back to sleep.  I can already feel the infection and/or irritation (aspiration pneumonia and/or pneumonitis, in other words) starting up. I don’t want to wake up the way I woke up a few hours ago, but I want to sleep, too, and I’m exhausted.

I don’t know what this could be linked to.  I didn’t eat or drink just before bed.  I burped my g-tube.  I had my drainage bag on.

The only thing different from normal was my tube pulled further out than it’s ever pulled without coming out altogether.  I shoved it back in.  It bled a lot.  It’s still bleeding but not much I don’t think.  Because it’s still just an inch in diameter around the tube, not much has come out the top of the drain sponges, and it’s brown, so it doesn’t look like new blood.  We already cleaned it once but we used the last of the drain sponges so they’re going to get me some tomorrow.

Safety Connections is already working on getting me antibiotics so don’t worry about that any more than usual.

This really sucks though.  I hate coughing up bile for hours on end while trying not to throw up from the taste.  And after all this work I’ve put into staying alive, I don’t want to die from something stupid and preventable.

Fey meanwhile is curling up on my favorite dad-shirt again.  I don’t think it’s coincidence.  Whenever he sent stuff before, she’d curl up on it and sniff it, she likes him.
