It’s both amusing and disturbing…

… That any time I’m in the hospital, and I mention “stoma sharts” to a nurse, they always know what I mean. Always.

(A stoma is the hole they put into my stomach too pout the feeding tube through. A stoma fart is when air comes out the hole, making a fart sound, sometimes high pitched. A stoma shart is when the stoma fart brings some gastric contents with it. And on days like today, when there’s lots of pressure in my stomach, I feel like I’m doing nothing but mopping up stoma sharts all day long. Better out than in, I guess.)
