Things like this always make me wish one thing.

That my state ID, or any ID I have, either say “X” instead of “M” or “F”, or simply not have that part there at all.

I don’t know why that of all the things about being genderless, feels more painful than much more pressing concerns including staying alive.  But sometimes, it does.
