One thing that bothers me is when a person (whether autistic or non-autistic) says that an autistic character is unrealistic because they’re portrayed as lacking a skill or ability that this person has decided that *of course* no autistic person would actually lack – and it’s a skill or ability that I lack. Or they say the same thing because the character has a trait that this person has decided no autistic person would actually have – and it’s a trait that I have.
