increasingly uncomfortable with the idea that marginalized people should have to embrace being transgressive
it’s ok to hate being seen that way
it’s ok to want to be accepted as you are and not have everything about you seen as a political statement
I get power from being transgressive, but not everyone will want to do that.
yes. that is definitely an important source of power for some people
