Just a reminder that Juice “Cleanses” are dangerous, nutritionists do not support them. They are low in protein (which can lead to muscle loss). 

They are NOT good for people with compromised immune systems, or liver or kidney disease.

It can cause blood sugar to sky rocket. If you’re going through chemotherapy, have nutritional deficiencies, or diabetes, juice cleanses put you in great danger.

There isn’t much science at all supporting juice detoxes or cleanses. It’s a crash diet, and that’s it. Your body rids of toxins through the liver and kidneys. Juice can’t imitate that. Many doctors will tell you to NOT use these.

Knowing this, stop telling chronically ill people to go onto a cleanse when a cleanse can cause serious damage. It won’t cure us. It won’t fix us. It will harm us.

Your juiced kale cannot imitate a kidney.
