for a community filled at least to some part with people who have autism, or adhd, or various problems relating to memory

there sure is a lot of emphasis placed on remembering the url of every single person who’s ever been called out and remembering to check every single name on every post to make sure you’re not reblogging something they posted

and then inevitably failing and having people vague about how you evidently don’t care about what the person did when you just didn’t have the processing power to notice something

Yep yep yep.

And half the time, the person didn’t even do what everyone said they did, or what they did was far more minor than anyone is willing to admit, or they’ve changed and apologized and done their best to make amends but nobody’s accepting it because second chances and compassion aren’t allowed.

(I’m one such person, because I have a few times said things that got grossly misconstrued, but didn’t have the language skills to back up what I actually meant, so everyone just assumed I meant what they thought I meant, because that was easier than critical thinking.  Bitter?  Just a little.  I don’t like losing communities over trivialities.  And no, they wouldn’t have been trivialities if they’d been what people thought they were.  But they weren’t.  Ever.  What people thought they were.)
