as small as a world and as large as alone

Before and after my nerve blocks.  Before, I had somehow managed to collect my hair into one long braid, stick everything under a large snood, stick a smaller snood on top of that, and tie a scarf over the whole thing, which meant they didn’t have to futz around with my hair during the procedure.  (Unfortunately they had to futz around with my ear instead, after dropping a bunch of liquid soap into it.)

I’m still waiting for the really nasty pain to hit.  It’s nasty enough already, but it will get worse.

Fey is pissed at me for leaving but right now she’s in a snuggly mood.
