when people use the term non-verbal they seem to be talking about just not being able to/havinging issues talking outloud. is there another term for when it happens and also severely impacts writing? like anything that has too take the words out of your head? like just communicating in general?

i mean, as evidenced by me typing this out, however slowly,it is clearly still easier to type than talk but i am having a lot of trouble even doing this?

and like sometimes it is much easier to talk but too hard to type?

i don’t really know how to put the words together to say anything coherent.

i am in a lot of trouble re:parents and i have no one to talk to and even if i did i can’t i don’t know what to do

Sounds like motor planning issues. It COULD get put under dysgraphia if you really need to have a specific term, but,.. yeah. Motor planning irregularities, just one more way that being autistic can make life a bit more complicated.

In my case, it’s more than that, it’s language issues that can cut through both typing and speech and make both impossible.

So I have like… speech issues that are pretty much constant, it’s very rare (but not unheard of totally) that I can speak with meaning.  It’s happened three times in roughly the past 15 years, to give you some idea.  And at those times I’ve been unable to type with meaning, because all my brain resources were going to speech – all of them, meaning I lost a lot of abilities in order to be able to speak for whatever period of time I could speak.

So I’m mostly nonverbal in that sense.

And then sometimes I can’t type or speak.  And that’d be language issues, more than motor planning issues.  Although motor planning issues are a part of why speech is difficult for me, and sometimes interfere with typing in other ways (which are the times I require assistance to be able to type – when it’s a language issue, there really isn’t a lot that can be done, except sometimes picture symbols or reading language and pointing to words will work, sometimes).
