Something about “In this circle we can build a future and create a dream that never ends” creeps me the fuck out.
Yeah.. I really liked (most of) Peter Leidy’s first album, but his music very quickly jumped the shark in disturbing ways after that. And the fact that this song doesn’t appear to be meant ironically at all has always bothered me. It makes me feel like I’m being coated in sugar, or something, the same way I feel when I have nightmares about “good” institutions (and when I describe them, have actually been asked by people “why is that even a nightmare?” when they’re the worst nightmares I’ve had in my life).
