➸ "You don't need this junk. You need a cat.": Giving myself migraines
What I was unable to say last night is that someone gave me important insight into one of the most puzzling parts of my migraines.
From my perspective it seems as if I can create a migraine just by concentrating in a certain way. I of course do everything I can to avoid this.
My friend…
I find these kinds of posts that you do very helpful, for the record.
I’ve often wondered what extent of my neurology is due to pain and perception and processing of pain, migraines, head injury, seizure activity, and what was apparently something very fucked up with my vision when I was young. No way to tell, they all influence each other.
I’d just love to be able to read books again.
Thanks. I do them partly because I have found it immensely helpful to hear people make sense of things about themselves, that I also experienced but couldn’t make sense of. And I try to give that back to the world as much as I can. Plus when I don’t talk about various experiences people have a tendency to believe they just don’t happen.
