![[Me as a very little kid, back when I was blonde, climbing a tree.]
I mentioned I was born when we lived in a redwood forest. But I was conceived in Henry Coe State Park, which was more about oak, maple, manzanita, and madrone. How I know this is a strange story: I was there with my dad when I was about 12. And out of nowhere (I swear it had no connection to any actual thoughts in my head, I was just echoing my brother) I said “This would be a good place for a date.” My dad became very embarrassed and said “Well actually…” and pointed to a spot a few feet away from us, explaining that was where I came from. My birth was just about exactly nine months from the date on the fishing license.
Anyway, that’s the same state park that I am climbing this tree in. The state is trying to close it by 2012 and I don’t know what will become of it. Apparently they’re trying to make them keep it open. I don’t know how well that’s going.](http://41.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lwpxd2OO2X1qdmvbuo1_250.jpg)
