Okay. So what you’re saying is that I am in all ways a by-product of human imbalance with nature? That I am an evolutionary punishment?

And if that’s the case, how do you propose we amend it? Genocide? Eugenics? That sounds like your angle. 

I am not in the mood to deal with this shit.

Wow. I just- no words for this level of ableism. This is, in some ways, worse than the message presented by Autism Speaks. This is just so blatantly terrible.

And this sort of thing is why I’ve always been able to see through the newage community’s claims to being open and accepting. It’s like the same shit with a different cover. We are still something wrong with the world, it just has to do with lack of harmony with nature, rather than the traditional view of what makes us defective. The basic idea isn’t changed or questioned.

Hint. Look at nature sometime. No, not the idealized version. The real thing. You will find that other species have tons of physical variation that would correspond to disabled humans. Disabled humans exist precisely because disability is a part of our nature. We may not always like it but there it is.
