Okay, I get that the world is making good strides toward being more environmentally-friendly. So many companies are trying out this new “mushroom-based” packaging (Dell included), lots of food products are replacing their over-processed crap with mushroom filler (which is healthier), medical…

Yeah. My brother has a fungus allergy that almost killed him as a kid. I’ve noticed that a lot of environmental advances are made… at best without much thought to the effects on disabled people or people with various health conditions. At worst with actual knowledge of the problem but taking a “those people wouldn’t be alive in an ideal world anyway” attitude (have had people say this to me).

In my view, there’s got to be a way to do things that’s both environmentally friendly and unlikely to kill people. But that would take actual commitment to both things at once, which most people don’t seem to have.

(Which is why, for instance, I can’t go into most places now without getting migraines. There are fluorescent bulbs less likely to cause them, but adopting those on a wide scale would take study which hasn’t happened.)
