I’m in a small tent that seems to have been rendered really messy really quickly.] This one is from when my father took me along with him to hike the Skyline to the Sea trail across the Santa Cruz mountains. This was just after the Loma Prieta earthquake, and we often found disconcertingly large cracks in the ground on the trails.
