This is one of many “holy shit holy shit holy shit” moments in reading these papers to give to my doctor tomorrow. I just made a post on this two weeks ago and the answer was sitting under my bed the whole time.
But what really gets me, reading this stuff, is that I’m absolutely typical for someone with autistic catatonia, in most ways. That shouldn’t surprise me but I get so very much shit from people for having these traits (since they’re not what people expect in autistic people even though this paper says 17% of us seem to experience it) that I feel less normal than I am.
