Apparently, the autistic experience isn’t valid until it’s explained by a scientific journal.
That infuriates me.
And they don’t say that about all experiences. Ever. They only say it about specific experiences that are outside their worldview.
Meanwhile they get to act as if they’re all rational and superior.
They don’t just do this to autistic people either. I’ve seen it done to women, people of color, anyone outside the main privileged groups. And even the way that they do it tends to be some combination of racist, sexist, classist, and disablist, at the bare minimum. Because it’s all about how specific people in specific cultures and situations interpret the world.
