feliscorvus: Me (pale, dark-haired human wearing dark-framed eyeglasses and a long sleeved blue Star Wars t-shirt)  and Shadow (large black feline with half-open yellow eyes) resting together on the couch. Somehow his fur always smells like autumn leaves. (All my cats smell oddly like plants, actually, even though they’re only rarely outside — Cora smells like lavender, Brodie smells vaguely grassy, and Nikki smells like hay that has been sitting in the sun for hours. I always wonder if maybe this is some sort of adaptation, so that neither prey nor larger predators are as likely to smell them in the wild.) Eeeee Shadow! Be sure to head-rub him or something for me since he missed the video chat this time around. Fey smells sort of like a cross between warm milk, autumn leaves, and that sunny hay thing. And something else sort of pungent, or like… sour and slightly musky or something (my smell vocabulary is failing)… that’s very distinctively her. I love burying my nose behind her ear and sitting there and smelling her for hours.
