Grumble.

Okay here’s the thing when some people think that being disabled must be wonderful because you “don’t have to work”. Okay there’s a lot of problems with that idea, not least of which is that all the stuff we have to do to function all day is at least as draining as a job would be to most people. But one specific thing: If you’re unable to work because you’re disabled, you’re also likely unable to do lots of things you want to do as well. This is my third week missing art (more of the “just getting my digestive system to function right is wearing me down too much” thing) and this is not enjoyable. I already missed art for a few months after my hospitalization last year because serious blockages seem to have the effect of knocking me flat. I hope this is not going to become a pattern.
