Yep, and this happens to me with actual teachers at school, with a frequency that is not even funny.

And the teacher would talk about language development in “all human infants”. And I’d go “errrrr… that’s not how it worked for me at all”. And she said different things different times, but most of them amounted to “you don’t count. Moving along…”
