Found this while browsing through the Alley Cat Allies webpage.  (Thanks, Amanda, for bringing this organization to my attention.)

Jerry Brown is apparently trying to repeal Hayden’s law. which has resulted in a significant reduction in the number of animals killed in shelters in California.  Through this link, you can easily send him a message telling him that we need to keep this law.
