When Hero Content approached me to shoot a promotional video for the Foundation for Autism Training and Education (FATE), I saw it as a challenge to explain the who and what this organization was and how handbags have anything to do with a serious neurological disorder, in 1 minute. Within 24 hours of shooting this was the final product.
When I saw this my only thought was “Who the hell can spare that much money on handbags – let alone have closets full of "old” ones they can sell at that price?“
Seriously two of those would pay my medical debt and then some, but my medical debt is well-nigh insurmountable. (As an autistic person, on disability.) This just… I can’t fathom that much money. Let alone spending it on a handbag. This isn’t a political statement, I’m just boggled and can’t wrap my head around what it would mean to have that much money, and spend it that way. (Then again I’m the sort of person who sees a mansion and immediately starts trying to calculate how many homeless people could live there.)
