Messed up dream

I just had a dream that involved all sorts of stuff about hierarchies of status and presumed ability among autistic people.

One of those ones where someone with no speech and a really slow typing speed was seen to be more autistic, and more delicate, than anyone else in the room. Her actual cognitive skills were the absolute ‘aspie’ stereotype, and rock solid. But because I could type much faster, everyone assumed I had an easy time following the conversation. Even though language (not just auditory processing) was only there every once in awhile for me, whereas she had no language trouble of any kind at all.

Which led to me saying something that offended everyone on her behalf. She was the good, angelic, delicate autie. I was the bad, rude autie. It went downhill from there. A little too true to life.
