➸ Hell-Bent On Helping: Benevolence, Friendship, and the Politics of Help
About what happens to disabled kids when they get turned into the person the nondisabled classmates get to “befriend” by helping or “help” by befriending. It’s not specific to any particular type of disabled people, but I’m posting it in the autism tags because this is often part of the unfortunate fallout of the awareness day mentality. And autistic kids pay the price in the end.
