hopsitally: The bonobo is a type of great ape which, in the words of Frans de Waal, “resolves power issues with sex”. When they see food, instead of fighting each other for it, they proceed to have sex. They are the only type of primates, beside humans, to have sex face-to-face. (Chimpanzees mate more like dogs.) When two groups of bonobos meet up, they have sex instead of fighting. Sounds like an interesting society…
