Nobody experiences every trait. And especially by adulthood most of us have learned at least some things of that nature. The usual lists of autistic traits are geared towards children. And a lot of us outgrow some of the traits, or have their basic nature shift to something else. (And some of us have more trouble as we get older. And some of us have neither less nor more. And most of us it’s a combination.) There are some people out there who have a chip on their shoulder about self-diagnosis but a lot of us recognize that’s often the only way an undiagnosed adult (or sometimes teen) will ever figure it out.
