➸ Video: "New Device Makes Wheelchairs Obsolete"
No, it really doesn’t. That thing could only be used indoors or on extremely level and smooth surfaces outside, and probably only by a minority of wheelchair users in the first place. I certainly could never use that thing, because I have to be tilted back with my legs in the air most of the time or all kinds of bad things (read: would be dangerous if things continued that way) start happening to my body. That thing won’t even close to render wheelchairs obsolete. (And why exactly would we want wheelchairs to be obsolete for the majority of chair users, anyway?)
