Think you know about Coastal Redwoods, think again. Recent explorations into the redwood canopy show an amazing ecosystem 300 feet above the forest floor; canopy soils may reach a meter deep. The video is about 17 minutes and well worth it.From the TED Website:
Science writer Richard Preston talks about some of the most enormous living beings on the planet, the giant trees of the US Pacific Northwest. Growing from a tiny seed, they support vast ecosystems — and are still, largely, a mystery.
