Agreed with all of this. Another important thing: Disabled people don’t in any way cause the stereotype of the entitled cripple. Nondisabled people do that. The fear disabled people have about one person making us look bad is understandable given that all prejudiced people have to see is one person, and they think that shows they’re right. But this fear is also misguided and damaging and shouldn’t be channeled into attacking other disabled people.
