feliscorvus: youneedacat: HOLY SHIT. Something exploded and there were flames everywhere. Holy shit indeed! Glad you weren’t actually in the flames. That is really scary, though.  Yeah. It was the Schwann’s truck that delivers food. Its brakes exploded. And set the truck on fire. I was out there when it exploded and it nearly took my ears out. At first I thought it was a bomb. But then I saw smoke coming out of the truck, and then huge flames. I’m just so glad the guy was in the building when it happened. Had he been a few minutes earlier, things could have turned nightmarish. He said that they gave him a truck he doesn’t usually drive and he’d been uneasy all day. The ultra-amazing thing is after this was over he went back to work and drove another truck back here and delivered all his orders. But then he’s always been one of those truly decent guys. He somehow remembers what everyone likes and goes out of his way to stock everything we might want in his truck. But fuck. That really rattled my nerves for quite awhile after. Although weirdly when I arrived at the doctor, my blood pressure had gone way down instead of up like I’d expect.
