This wheelchair is seriously the next best thing to being in bed. It can tilt back to a completely horizontal position (in zig zag because the whole seat tilts). The feet go really far up. There are options to make its operation very easy for the person pushing it. The seat is far more comfortable than my power chair. There’s a harness so regardless of position, my chest never hits my knees. It’s rated to a much bigger weight than me in case I gain more weight (common for people with conditions that limit exercise). I don’t have to spend extra cognitive energy (at my energy levels, that translates into very physical exhaustion) planning how to move. And it comes apart and fits in the back of a pickup. The main downsides are that I don’t steer it and it can be unwieldy to push. But overall? This thing has made it possible to do things in situations that were otherwise impossible even with my power chair. Plus it’s cool looking and purple. So I like it quite a lot. The past couple days would be impossible without it. It’s not as good as lying flat, but it’s as close as I can get while out.
