Question for anyone who might know.
I’m almost never bored. Like I can lie there with my cat doing nothing but snuggling for hours. I live in bed and don’t regret doing so. So on the scale of boredom I am normally very low.
But then I get sick (like catch a bug, not chronic stuff generally). Or experience very severe pain. (Like 8.7 and up, I’m talking like a really horrible intestinal blockage or worse generally. With some exceptions.) Or become delirious. And then all of a sudden I am bored. Sometimes extremely so.
Is there some reason for this? Or am I feeling some unfamiliar emotion and reading it as boredom? Or what?
Asking because I have a bad cold and I’m bored as hell and nothing is getting rid of it.
