So I told my parents I needed to lie down and rest because I’m sick.

Which is completely true and I should have done that after I got off of Skype. (We were going through old records trying to sort through which were mine. Records as in music, not as in papers.)

But somehow the violin was between me and the bed and I ended up spending an hour and a half trying to work out a satisfying arrangement of “Blackberry Blossom”.

Which was foolish. But I don’t think I did as much harm as I could have done. Still. Need to avoid repeating that. I’m trying not to practice that long anyway, for the sake of my hands.

Of course now if I don’t fall asleep first I’ll be listening to lots of variants of the song on YouTube.
