To clarify:
Is Luna Lovegood meant to be on the autism spectrum/otherwise neurodivergent, or not? It seems like she’s an Aspie to me, but I could be wrong.
Also the fact that this idea took 9 years to occur to me is worrying
I’ve always thought of her as a schizotypal, but she definitely reminds me of an autistic.Maube she’s both?
My mom swears to me that in my early adolescence I was just like her. I see it as… just a different flavor of autistic person than the more Ernie MacMillan types who are the stereotype of some sorts of autistic people. I talked about some of the things that led my mother to say that in this post on my main blog.
I don’t think she was intended as anything particular, mind you. But she is a lot like certain sorts of autistic people.
