Autistic Problem Number 32: Being afraid to go out to dinner with people you’ve known for years because you’re ashamed of your eating habits.
[Submitted by bare-faced-loser]

I can’t afford to go out to dinner anymore. But when I was in a group home the psychologists and staff relentlessly mocked and criticized my eating habits until I can get rather skittish about it at times. They told me I was disgusting. And by extension my whole family I guess, because I’m not much different from them in how I eat. Yay class/culture differences. Anyway I can eat with people sometimes but one comment about my eating habits throws me into a panic.
