feliscorvus: …and for contrast to my last (creepily posed) childhood photo, here’s one I actually really like. I am pretty sure my mom took this one, too, but it wasn’t posed at all (I really did used to climb practically every tree I could, and thus there are a whole bunch of pictures of me climbing different trees as a kid). This tree in particular was extremely meaninfgul to me growing up: it was up a hill on my paternal grandparents’ land in Vermont and had rope swings attached to it and smelled good and was fun to sit in and just generally felt very alive. Wow that’s an amazing picture. Wish I could visit. That shows more of who you really are than any picture I’ve ever seen of you.
