You know what happened when the people at autistics.org attempted to answer to exactly how ridiculous that one is, given the number of serious health problems we have? Well, we listed them. And the exact same people who told us, “If you had all these health problems, you’d want a cure too”? One of them then said, “Why should we take anyone seriously who still has those health problems even though they’re trivially easy to fix?” I’m not joking. They said this.

It’s not about whether we have these health problems or not, it’s about shutting us up. If we don’t have serious health problems, we aren’t worth listening to because ~real autistic people who really need a cure~ have serious health problems. If we do have serious health problems, we aren’t worth listening to, because anyone who had information worth listening to would have cured a bunch of incurable conditions already. I wish I was joking. It’s all about us being bad or wrong no matter what.
