Boulder Creek Hike.

krotalossfit:

This weekend it was the weekend to finally get out of the house and get away from the heat. What better place to visit than the Santa Cruz mountains where the cool breeze cools us down during summer. Well, technically it’s not Santa Cruz but it is in Santa Cruz county. We got there at around 9:30 am but by the time we started our hike, it was 10:00 am. Getting to the park was a cool ride full of curves, one lane roads, tight turns and lots of bicyclists. We had originally planned to do a crazy hike that goes from the park all the way to to sea but I got us lost and took the trail the other way around. It was not a disappointment, it was a strenuous hike that took us through thick forests, abandoned sites, creeks, bridges and scary movie look alike meadows. I was waiting for Jason to show up with a big knife but he never did. A few pics of the trail.

There’s a ton of bridges thought out the park.

Lots of these little guys. It’s advised that when you find not to touch them as the oil on your hands damage their mucous protection.

My favorite find. Feisty little one.

Sempervirens falls.

Green rocks.

When clear, you can actually see the ocean. Not this time!

So green. I was expecting to see the teletubbies running around but they’re too shy I suppose.
